Thieves manage to steal e-bikes that were chained up in parking garage in Nanaimo

Police in Nanaimo are investigating the recent theft of two e-bikes and hope the public can help track them down.

According to a Nanaimo RCMP press release, the E-bikes were chained and secured, but a suspect or suspects managed to steal them sometime overnight Wednesday, Oct. 12, from an underground parkade in the 500 block of Stewart Avenue.

The owner was only able to provide a picture and description for one of the two bikes that were stolen. The bike is a black Pedego Boomerang E-bike bearing serial number LF210824962.

Anyone with information about this bike or the theft is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file No. 2022-36146.
