A Nanaimo drummer and runner is doing a lot of both these days, promoting health and wellness and fundraising for the child life department of the B.C. Children’s Hospital through combining a community drum circle and distance running.

On Saturday, Sept. 16, Lyle Povah, CEO of Rhythm of Life Society, will be stopping in Nanaimo for an event at Moose Lodge as part of his Drum Run Adventure Tour in partnership with the B.C. Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Povah is running a total of 1,500 kilometres and stopping at 25 cities in the province as part of his two-month fundraising campaign and he encourages participants to join him during the drum circle and while he runs from city to city to help make a “mighty difference.”
