1. BC Ferries

BC Ferries offers transportation services at 45 different ports across the province, allowing for a smooth journey wherever the destination is. To get the true experience of Nanaimo’s great outdoors, you can’t miss the seaplane tours that will give you a one-of-a-kind trip over the Strait of Georgia. Sandwiched between the breathtaking views over the tiny islands and coastline is something you won’t want to miss. The tours are offered by Harbour Air Seaplanes with admission rates being $202 for adults and $101 for children.
4. Vancouver Island Military Museum
One of the most significant military museums in the province, the extra focus on the soldiers themselves is what keeps attracting new visitors. Sharing many of the stories of soldiers that can be overlooked at times, you can learn about the Black Battalion, the women who served, and Indigenous soldiers. A ticket for an adult is $4, $2 for seniors and students, and children under 12 get free access.
5. Nanaimo Whale Watching
Are you a fan of marine creatures? If so, a whale watching experience is just for you with an emphasis on conservation and sustainability. On this amazing three- to four-hour trip, you will encounter killer whales, humpback whales, sea lions, seals, porpoises, eagles, and other creatures.
