The V.I. Raiders will need a new leader for their high-powered offence.
The graduation of record-setting, award-winning MVP Jordan Yantz left the quarterbacking position up for grabs on Nanaimo’s Canadian Junior Football League team.
But the Raiders think they’ve found a capable replacement whom they’ll reveal later this spring.
“[Yantz] gained so much publicity that everyone in Canada knows he’s leaving,” said Matthew (Snoop) Blokker, Raiders coach. “So from that, there’s been a lot of, let’s say, next ones that want to come here and take over and follow in his footsteps.”
The Raiders will hold spring camp at the end of April.
