Todd Gebert always played with his heart on his sleeve when he was with the Nanaimo Clippers. Now, he'll be trading in those orange, white and black Clippers sleeves for the blue and white sleeves of the Westfield State Owls.
The Clippers announced last week that the graduating player has committed to play NCAA Div. 3 hockey this fall with Westfield State in Massachusetts. Gebert, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound defensive defenceman from Surrey, played 56 games over a season and a half in Nanaimo, scoring one goal and compiling 79 penalty minutes.
