SnowPass gets kids on the slopes

NANAIMO – Canadian Ski Council will help kids reach the top of the hill

Skiers are forecasting a snowy winter on Vancouver Island’s peaks, and the Canadian Ski Council will help kids reach the top of the hill.

The organization is bringing back its SnowPass program for another winter. The program offers any kids in grades 4 and 5 three lift tickets for $30 total.

“Introducing children to skiing and snowboarding are great ways for children to learn a new sport that they can participate in during the winter months, said Patrick Arkeveld, president of the Canadian Ski Council, in a press release.

The passes are good at over 150 ski hills across Canada, including Mount Washington Alpine Resort in the Comox Valley. Adult accompaniment is not required.
