Senior B Timbermen will play back-to-back road games

The senior B Nanaimo Timbermen play back-to-back road games this weekend (June 24-25) against the Valley Rebels and Langley Warriors.

The senior B Nanaimo Timbermen, in the midst of a win streak, will face a significant challenge as they try to keep that streak going.

The T-men play back-to-back road games this weekend (June 24-25) against the Valley Rebels and Langley Warriors.

“It’s going to be a real tough test. Anytime you’re going on the road it’s tough,” said Mike Maughan, the team’s coach.

Valley is winless this season, but Langley has been holding down first place all season.

“We don’t want to look past the Valley game, but we know the game against Langley is going to be an extremely tough test for us,” said Maughan. “We’re looking forward to it and looking to keep this streak going.”

The coach said he’s liked the way his team battled through a difficult stretch earlier in the season and established itself.

“I’ve just been impressed with the way the team’s come together. The guys are really showing a lot,” Maughan said.

GAME ON … The senior B T-men don’t play at home until July 4, when they host the Victoria Wolves in an 8 p.m. matchup at Frank Crane Arena.
