Raiders refreshed after bye week

The V.I. Raiders appreciated this past weekend’s break in the B.C. Football Conference schedule.

The V.I. Raiders appreciated this past weekend’s break in the B.C. Football Conference schedule.

“As much as physically, I think mentally having a break, just to get away, is good for everybody,” said Matthew (Snoop) Blokker, Raiders coach.

He said his team will look at the mid-season point as a time to regroup.

“You grade yourself [on] your faults more than your positives and really work on correcting those,” he said.

GAME ON … The Raiders (3-2) host the Okanagan Sun (4-1) Saturday (Sept. 7) at 2 p.m. at Caledonia Park. Look for a preview in Thursday's issue of the News Bulletin.
