No team was able to beat the Cowichan Thunder during the regular season, but the Nanaimo Timbermen junior B team has a chance to do it in the playoffs.

The Pacific North West Junior Lacrosse League teams play Game 1 of their best-of-three series tonight (July 7) at 7:30 p.m. at Kerry Park Arena at Mill Bay. Game 2 will be Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Nanaimo Ice Centre.

The most recent action for some of Nanaimo's junior B players was the B.C. junior B all-star game last Friday in Langley. Dustin Kothlow, Dean Borrelli, Mike Berti, Remy Koch and Bryden Pelletier helped the PNWJLL all-stars to a rare win over the mainland, 6-4. Berti played half the game, allowing just a single goal against, Pelletier and Borrelli scored goals and Kothlow had three assists.
