Hockey players advance to cup

Griffen Barr, Skyler Cameron, Riley Gannon, Oren Louie and Tosh Paziuk were selected to represent Vancouver Island at the B.C. Cup under-15 tournament next month.

Jason Dubyna, Nanaimo Minor Hockey Association head coach, said in a press release that all the local participants represented Nanaimo well at the tryouts last weekend in Duncan.

The B.C. Cup tourney will be held at the Richmond Olympic Oval from May 5-8.
