Cash curlers make their shots

AC Taxi is now in the driver’s seat in the Christensen Collision Cash League. The curling team, skipped by Garry Smith, defeated Kevin Weinreich’s Anderson Civil Engineering squad 6-4 in league play Feb. 17 at the Nanaimo Curling Centre. The victory allowed Smith to climb past Weinreich in the cash standings, $580 to $565.

Last week’s closest game saw Joe Pulak edge Nicole Backe’s Soap Exchange rink 4-3. Mack Truck, SRS Industrial, the V.I. Raiders curlers and the Steve Waatainen and Kesa Van Osch rinks were other winning teams.
