The Nanaimo BMX Association has one of the finest tracks around, and it’s willing to share.
The club is hosting a free race for any newcomers this Saturday (April 20) at the track at Marie Davidson BMX Park at Beban Park.
Experienced riders will be there to show rookies around and pass along tips.
Participants need a bike, long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and a helmet. Riders of any age are welcome.
Signup and warmups start at 11 a.m., to be followed by racing.
