Two Nanaimo volleyball duos were the best on the beach.
Robbie Calvin and Wes Richardson and Victoria Behie and Brooke Shouldice won their respective U16 titles at the Volleyball B.C. beach provincials at Vancouver’s Spanish Banks over the August long weekend.
Calvin and Richardson prevailed out of 16 teams in their division, winning their final 21-18, 21-18. Behie and Shouldice captured their division with a 21-19, 21-15, 15-12 win.
Nationals start Thursday (Aug. 16), also in Vancouver.
