Anderson team cashing in at curling

The Anderson Civil Engineering team built on its lead in the Nanaimo Curling Centre’s Christensen Collision Cash League last week.

Skip Kevin Weinreich and his squad (8-5) defeated Joe Pulak’s rink Feb. 3 to climb to $535 in the cash standings. AC Taxi (7-6), skipped by Garry Smith, defeated Mid-Island Auto and sits in second place with $445. Third is Wingren Floors, skipped by Zorka Smith, with $420 after a win over Georgiaview Health and Wellness.

In other action Feb. 3, Mark Knutson’s Team Williams doubled up Nicole Backe’s Soap Exchange squad 6-3 and Steve Waatainen, Kesa Van Osch and Hazel Watson’s SRS Industrial were also winners.
