Vision for rail corridor makes sense

Re: Island rail corridor must be preserved, Letters, May 14.

Finally a vision for the rail corridor that makes sense.

A hiking, biking trail that many people can use would be useful for the residents of Vancouver Island as well as tourists.

While I am not convinced that volunteer maintenance would work, nor would it be done properly, it certainly needs to be discussed.

There are many stretches of the rail corridor in rural areas where local volunteers may not be available.
