To the Editor,
In spite of all the advertising both for and against the harmonized sales tax – the stick people were cute – what it all comes down to is very simple. No government in the history of the world has ever replaced a tax with another to decrease government income.
If this situation has ever occurred, that government declared bankruptcy.
