Re: NEDC CEO parts way with city, May 15.
Rather than having these pricey economic and tourism positions through city hall, why not just hand over all that money over as seed money for a foot ferry?
Other uses for that money could be for benches outside of supermarkets, for seniors who are waiting with groceries for taxis, and also for benches and shelters at bus stops, since many newcomers to Nanaimo are, and will be, retirees.
There should be some concrete recognition of this, not just burdening the taxpayer with expensive talk, talk, talk and pretentious jargon.
