To the Editor,
Re: Parents angry over logo cost, Sept. 18.
Does the Nanaimo school district seriously need a new logo?
Is it now a business marketing firm trying to attract new customers?
I know my business could not afford that kind of cost. Speaking of which, it will cost much more than $24,000 to introduce the logo. New stationary, new signs and employee downtime trying to plan all this out will add up.
And does the new name clarify that it is a school district more than the wording presently used?
It’s always easier to spend other people’s money and this is not a good way to spend more taxpayers’ dollars, especially in light of all the cutbacks.
