Re: Young offenders growing up to be repeat offenders, Opinion, April 26.

What has been lacking is the real parental tough love when it comes to dealing with problem youths.

If it still continues, they should be sent to a scared-straight program in which inmates, at a group talk, enlighten young offenders that unless they change their direction, they will be facing very serious consequences that will directly affect them in many ways for the rest of their lives.
