Re: Voters choose McKay for mayor’s chair, Nov. 18.
While I have noted a lot more than the usual number of election signs that seem to have popped up much like an invasive weed, with the now all-too-familiar buzz words like ‘experience wins,’ ‘fiscal responsibility,’ ‘decisive, proven leadership’ and ‘common sense,’ there still remains the question, will the now elected persons bring into action their buzz words, or will it just end up, as usual, getting sucked into the mindless political box?
Well, the now-too-overburdened taxpayers of Nanaimo are hoping for an early Christmas miracle from the new mayor and the councillors.
