Governance review wastes money

The governance review only duplicates what is already stated in the community charter.

To the Editor,

Yet again, the astute minds at city hall have found new and innovative ways to spend our tax dollars with disregard to both common sense and fiscal responsibility. When a majority of city council passed the governance review this month, they only duplicated what is already stated in the community charter. There is absolutely nothing new in this review. It is a regurgitation of what has already been spelled out before and to have spent thousands of dollars on a report to explain council’s roles and responsibilities and how to behave in public (we teach this to our young children) just goes from the sublime to the ridiculous.

We ask our elected officials to spend our tax dollars wisely and with common sense and with the passing of this review, they have failed miserably.
