Re: Residents asked for input into ferry proposal, Oct. 24.
I was surprised to see city council would like input on the new foot ferry proposal. With all the things this city does that cost large subsidies like the Port Theatre and the convention centre, without a lot of input, this should be a no-brainer.
This ferry is a necessity to make these things pay including the new hotel and will have all the necessary kinks out of the system about the time the new hotel is complete. Let’s not dither and show some leadership for a change and do not allow every negative thinker in this city to screw up a tremendous opportunity by delaying this decision to the point where the investors throw their hands up in disgust. Move it!
