Falcon’s decision easy to understand

Families can relate to Liberal's plan to leave politics.

To the Editor,

Anyone with young children can identify with Kevin Falcon’s decision to leave politics to focus more time on his family, especially with another child expected early next year just prior to the provincial election.

Politics is a demanding occupation, especially when you are the Minister of Finance and Deputy Premier of B.C.

As Finance Minister, Falcon can be particularly proud of the fact that B.C. has been able to maintain its Triple AAA credit rating at a time when so many other provinces, states and countries have seen their credit ratings downgraded.

This is no small accomplishment and it’s a testament to good government B.C. has enjoyed over the past 12 years.

It was also admirable of Falcon to acknowledge the hard work, dedication and service of all who are involved in the public life of this province, from all political parties in the B.C. legislature, to especially the premier.
