Re: Revitalization of downtown keeps taking tax dollars, Letters, Feb. 10.
Neil Saunders has the answer to the elevated tax problem in Nanaimo: lease the Port Theatre, close the conference centre for now and cut the revitalization grants.
The money saved would lower the taxes that we love to hate.
When the economy picks up again, we could consider their use again.
