Re: City spends freely, Letters, Aug. 6.
While I 100 per cent agree with Terrance Wagstaff’s letter, the real Economics 101 lesson should be taught to Mayor John Ruttan and to the Nanaimo councillors, especially during these very hard economic times.
As they continue to spend the taxpayers’ money on things that we cannot afford and overall do not need, we are all going to take the last ride in the canoe down the river of no return.
In all, the writing is on the wall, so unless Mayor Ruttan and the councillors are blind as bats, they had better read it, learn it and do the right thing for once.
