Byelection candidate fills the bill for what’s needed

It has been with keen interest that I have been following the platforms of the candidates for the forthcoming byelection.

To the Editor,

It has been with keen interest that I have been following the platforms of the candidates for the forthcoming byelection.

As a former councillor of a neighbouring community, I have some understanding of the requirements of being one.

I have always voted for the person that I know will represent myself and family to the best of his/her ability, has compassion, is willing to listen and act for the benefit of his electorate with an open mind.

Ian Gartshore fills that bill completely: he understands the true meaning of sustainability, walks his talk and is capable of thinking outside the box.

I am confident that he will represent us well to the best of his ability.
