To the Editor,
The frequent dispensing of propaganda from local government and its partners has become nauseating.
The tax-funded Nanaimo Economic Development Corporation has bragged about its worthy trip to China but all I hear is noise. Other than money spent on planes, hotels and dinners I have not heard any announcements of mega jobs soon to appear or that thousands of tourists are on their way. The self-serving promotional hogwash needs to end and civic government and its counterparts need to spend money frugally and not waste it on trips.
