To the Editor,

Re: Bridge to mainland just isn’t possible, Letters, Nov. 5.

You state that a bridge to the mainland is not possible, have you not been to Prince Edward Island or read about the Confederation Bridge that connects it to the mainland of New Brunswick? I have driven over it with a semi.

If we could get a government that was not afraid to tackle the issue it would be possible, I personally outlined a possible solution to this matter a few months ago, it meant island hopping to Tsawwassen. It would be a lot easier than the Confederation Bridge that they built, high enough to handle sea traffic. We would need two spans in my theory, a short and a long, ending up in Tsawwassen.

It is the day of high technology and anything is possible, the Confederation Bridge from New Brunswick to P.E.I. is proof of this. We can do it, all it takes is a government that is not afraid to tackle the job.
