Beef to the person who stole my wagon in the wee hours of the morning. I live on a small pension and had to save my money to get it to haul away trash and transport my laundry. May karma bite you real good.

BOUQUET To patient Beefs & Bouquets readers. Due to a computer problem, beefs and bouquets submitted via e-mail between Nov. 23-Dec. 22 are temporarily inaccessible. Once the problem is fixed, those beefs and bouquets will go to the top of the queue.

BEEF Shame on the mother who ignored her two screaming boys in the supermarket. These two hooligans, around 8 or 9, were screaming, fighting and chasing each other around the store. This behaviour put them at risk for injury from falling displays but more importantly put shoppers, many elderly, at risk of being knocked down or injured.

BOUQUET Thank you to London Drugs who each and every year donate a huge gift bag to each of the 165 residents of Dufferin Place. In the bags are cuddly blankets, boxes of cookies, books and toiletries. It was such a wonderful sight to walk down the hallway past the rooms and see every resident cuddled up in their blankets, munching on a cookie.

BEEF To the city for approving the development off Metral. Almost a hundred families and scores of crammed in businesses have to use a single entrance/exit the width of a two-car driveway with parked cars blocking all visibility.

BOUQUET Thanks to the Quality Foods in Harewood for selecting us as business of the week. The deli trays you gave us were wonderful. Our staff really appreciated it. Thanks for sharing the holiday spirit.

BEEF To the sarcastic woman. While my debilitating injury of blowing both MCLs in both my knees was not evident, the ride on cart had already been spoken for. I was in excruciating pain, just trying to get pre-made food for my family, as I cannot stand up to prepare food for them.

BOUQUET To the fabulous Foam Guy on Portsmouth Road for the exceptional service re-covering our couch and chair with new fabric.

BEEF To those parents who have not taught their children proper behaviour nor decorum when in libraries, museums, art galleries, theatres and restaurants. You are raising a generation of miscreant hellions.

BOUQUET Thank you to all the staff at Dufferin Place Seniors Village. My husband Michael was recently very fortunate to get a space there. Never have I seen such dedication to the patients and genuine caring for each and every person there. What a blessing it is to know that our loved ones are so well cared for.

BEEF To adults who are too loud and rude when in public places, with no sense of common decency nor thought to the people around them.

BOUQUET To Mayor Krog for the courage to speak about the need for therapeutic community institutions to help seriously mentally ill citizens.

BEEF To the person who stole my wagon in the wee hours of the morning. I live on a small pension and had to save my money to get it to haul away trash, and transport my laundry. May karma bite you real good.

BOUQUET To Karen W., the music teacher of Pauline Haarer Elementary School. Her concerts and musicals are truly some of the best productions I’ve ever seen. Her unending dedication to her job and her students definitely deserves recognition. Thank you!

BEEF To the person who has the horse-sized dog that allows it to leave landmines on the gravel parking area in front of my house. How about you clean up after yourself, eh?

BOUQUET To my new neighbour, who dropped wonderful Christmas wishes and treats at my door, what a great and inspiring way to introduce yourself and your family to us. I feel blessed to be part of this wonderful Wentworth Street community. To all my neighbours, thank you for being so supportive to my family.

BEEF To those who irresponsibly and mindlessly fired fireworks on New Year’s Eve. I watched in horror as my inconsolable terrorized pets endlessly paced and drooled with heaving chests for the duration.

BOUQUET To Seaview Glass for sending out a repair man to service my broken blind in my window the same day. When he called I was busy with a dog trainer, he called back an hour later, waited while I put the dog in the car, then fixed the blind in a minute. Many thanks to both Denise and Leonard from a grateful senior.

BEEF To the city for the lack of information regarding the usage the new bulk water filling stations. Has been a very big hassle so far as the process has completely changed and the customers were not informed correctly of the new usage process.

BOUQUET To my family for trying to give me as much Christmas cheer as possible after my break-up. Mom, J and C and kids, thank you for all your festiveness.

BOUQUET I would like to give a huge shout out to the orthopedic surgical team at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. I appreciate how professional and caring they were while dealing with my surgery. They took great care of me and made me feel relaxed through the whole process.

BEEF To the Gomerich Road speeders. You live on this road, but you make it dangerous for others who live here too. Please be more considerate.

BOUQUET To the gracious gentleman who gave $40 to our granddaughter and great-grandson at a south-end MacDonald’s on Christmas day after asking if she was a single mother. She is a single mother, and is very appreciative of his kindness.

BEEF To the new automated garbage trucks. They leave a trail of garbage on the road in their wake every time.

BOUQUET To my family for trying to give me as much Christmas cheer as possible after my break-up. Mom, J and C and kids, thank you for all your festiveness.

BEEF To all the people who litter, especially smokers, coffee drinkers, and pop drinkers. All those butts, cups, both paper and plastic, and straws just discarded on the roads. It should be law that no drinks are served unless you bring your own reusable container.

BOUQUET Thank you so much to the two young men who helped me from parking to Coast Bastion Hotel lobby. I was struggling. God bless you and happy new year.
