While we are sad to announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, we celebrate her fulfilled life. Winnie was born and raised in Agassiz, B.C. on her parent's dairy farm. She often shared her wonderful memories of the farm and the Harrison Lake area. When her parents sold their farm they moved to New Westminster where she completed high school at Trapp Tech and then worked as a telephone operator for BC Tel.

She then met her husband Bill and after the birth of their two children they moved to Langley, where they owned and operated a poultry farm. After many years of hard work, including the purchase of a second farm in Aldergrove, they retired from farming and moved to Nanaimo to start a new adventure. Bill and Winnie started a car sales business that they operated until Bill's passing in 1984.

Winnie continued to operate the business until she decided to fully retire. Winnie had an active life that included golfing, curling, gardening and travelling. Winnie then met Wolf Raabe and they shared a life together in a lovely home overlooking the ocean until Wolf 's passing. Winnie remained in her beloved Nanaimo until she became ill and returned to the Lower Mainland to spend her remaining time close to her family.

Predeceased by her older brother and sister, Milo and Joan, she is survived by her sister Mary (Harold), her daughter Heather, son Rory (Anna) and grandchildren Chris and Nicole (Nathan), her brothers-in-law Gus (Betty) and Art (Joan) and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. We wish to thank the staff at Madison Care Centre for their kindness towards and care of Winnie. A private gathering will be held at a future date.
