It is with sadness that we announce the death of our brother, Bill. Predeceased by his parents: Mary Holland (1985) and Ralph Holland (2000); survived by his two sisters, Margaret Dunlop (Bill) and Cathie Holland; nephew, Michael Dunlop; nieces, Catherine Aske, Jennifer Nicholls, Bryn McKinnon and their families. Bill is also survived by his fiancé, Julie Duce, whose love and constant devotion sustained Bill through his last few difficult years.
Bill was born in Victoria, growing up and attending school in Nanaimo. He was dealer principal of Meyers Holland Motors, a former member of the Nanaimo Gyro Club and Nanaimo Yacht Club. He was a supporter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Nanaimo Youth Soccer and several charities.
We would like to thank Dr. Cancade and the staff at Dufferin Place, Arbutus Unit for the wonderful care they gave to Bill.
Bill will be remembered for his unique sense of humour and his great smile.
No service by request, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Bill’s request to have his ashes spread will take place at a future date upon which time there will be a private memorial.
