April 16th, 1944 - December 5th, 2016

It is with a very heavy heart we announce the passing of Wally Joseph Danchuk. He is survived by his wife Sandra, son Jason (Diane) sisters Arlene Oleksyn ( Mike), Pat West, brother Wayne Danchuk, sister in law Maria Leoczko (Erhard Dalke), numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his loving brother, Johnny Danchak.

Wally was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, lived on the farm in Wakaw and later his family moved to Saskatoon. He attended school at St. Michael’s was in Air Cadets and was an avid hockey player. Hockey was the love of his life until he met Sandra. He also dearly loved his animals, Mittens, Gizmo, Brandy and Felix.

Wally was known as a hardworking man dedicated to his family. He was extremely kind, generous and caring and provided his family with all they could ask for.

Wally’s professional career was in sales and management. He was manager at Western Supplies Plumbing and Heating for over twenty years in Saskatoon, Camrose, Alberta, Kelowna B.C. , Langley B.C., and Nanaimo. He then moved on to sales at Bartle and Gibson in Nanaimo. His achievements in sales earned him recognition and numerous awards in the coveted “ Million Dollar Club”.

Later in life, Wally became very ill and fought a long hard battle. The doctors nicknamed him the “teflon man” because nothing seemed to keep him down.

Wally will be dearly missed, always loved and never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers Wally would have wanted any donations to go to an animal shelter of your choice.
