Violet Husvik, formerly Hinksman (nee Catterall)
November 6, 1929 - September 25, 2017
Violet was born in Nanaimo, BC and grew up on Irwin Street.
She was pre-deceased by parents Margaret and James Catterall, sisters Nellie Harris, Edie Alton, Peggy Harris, Jean Pepper, and brother Jimmy Catterall.
Violet is survived by 4 sons, Ronnie, Lesley, Gary (Lynda) and Bradley Hinksman; 3 sisters, Treva Vass (Sam), Faye Mieras and Lorna McGibbon and numerous nieces and nephews and their children; her husband of 54 years Don, her step-daughter, Dana Collette (Bob); and 11 grandchildren, Mathew, Hilary (Dylan), Alicia, Phillip (Jamie), Lucas, Alihna, Cody, Isaac Hinksman; Don Chamberlain, Morgan Martin (Seth) and Siena Hutton; and 3 great grandchildren, Dominic (parents Morgan & Seth Martin), Deyus (Alicia Hinksman), Sadie (Phillip & Jamie Hinksman); and 3 cats, Daisy, Mutt and Buddy.
She's gone to join her family and all the other dogs and cats that were part of her life.
A service will be held at First Memorial on Sat Oct 7 at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in her honour to an animal rescue charity of your choosing.
