Susan Mary Reid passed away on December 4, 2020 at the age of 71, joining her late husband, Tommy and daughter, Catherine Rebecca.
She leaves behind her children, Virginia (Brent), Tommy (Tina), David (Carol) & Crystal, and her grandchildren, Caleb, Maya, Andrew, Catriona, Hayley, Rebecca, Keifer & Killian.
We were all fortunate to reside close to her and she was the heart of our family, a devoted mother and grandmother we all adored.
She started out life as a teacher and she certainly leaves us as one. Her deeply held values were an example to all of us. She was creative, fun, hardworking, courageous, kind and thrifty (and would be upset with the costly length of this obituary; sorry Mom).
Once you figured out the correct opinion, she loved to hear it. Susan will be sadly missed by her mother, Mary, her siblings, Pat, Gail (Bill) & Bill (Denyse), her sisters-in-law, Mary-Jo (Al) & Susan (Alan), and her many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Bill, brother-in-law, Bob, and nephew, Jason.
Susan cherished her friendships, held since childhood and formed throughout her life. She spent many years volunteering at NRGH Palliative Care providing homemade desserts, fruit platters, milkshakes and comfort to patients and families. She was always a mother to those in need.
