TURNER, Stephen William

September 16, 1946 ~ March 26, 2014

Steve was born in Montreal. He had great memories as a small boy growing up there. His family moved to Richmond BC as he was getting into his teenage years. He loved Richmond in the sixties. He made a lot of friends there that he kept throughout his later years. In the seventies he got married and moved to Nanaimo, the city that he loved.

Steve enjoyed his life to the fullest and had many adventures; including joining the army and being in Cyprus as a peacekeeper for 6 months. He was very proud of his army days with the P.P.C.L.I.

Stephen has 2 brothers, Gordon and Gilbert; and a sister, Judy; his wife, Virginia, of 43 years; and sons, Rob and Ryan. He has 2 grandchildren, Dylan and Jordon; many nephews and nieces and many sisters-in-law. Susan especially, he called his guardian angel; she was always there to help in any way. He also had many brothers-in-law.

We had a Celebration of Life at his house, April 5th, where many family and friends attended. We loved Steve very much and we will miss him. He will be in our hearts forever.
