Shannon Arlane

of Nanaimo British Columbia, was 63 years old when she passed away on August 26, 2013. Shannon was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on August 19, 1950, to Ronald and Erna Fitzhenry.
After graduating from Nanaimo Senior Secondary, she worked at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, for 35 years. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling the world with her mother, Erna. She will be missed dearly by everyone. She is survived by her brother. Dale A. Fitzhenry of Scottsdale, AZ; her nephew, Dax Fitzhenry of Vancouver B.C.; her niece, Devon Ghigo of Phoenix, AZ. Great nieces include Marlane, Brianna, Isabella, Andrea, and Jessie. She is also survived by her aunts, Elsie Weisschadel and Agnes Peebles. Shannon is preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Erna Fitzhenry.
Per Shannon’s wishes, there will be no services, but we will be having a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 1 to 3 pm at Buttertubs Recreation Center, 10 Buttertubs Dr. Nanaimo, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
