Winnie was born and raised in Nanaimo. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and the little ones gave her great joy, she always lit up when she saw them. She was an avid 5 pin bowler and won many trophies. She loved to cook, knit and crochet. She continued her daily walks for as long as she could, and she loved going out with her ladies group that she had known for many years. She was a member of the Orange Lily Lodge and the Woman’s Benefit Association many years ago.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, and her kind and gentle way. Special thanks to Dr. Rogers and the wonderful staff at Kiwanis Lodge for their loving care and compassion. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kiwanis Lodge, 1221 Kiwanis Crescent, Nanaimo, B.C. No service by request. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date to be confirmed.
