SAMMY EVANS
Born Olive Grace Samson in St. John’s Newfoundland on August 10 1928, died in Nanaimo on February 10 2012. Predeceased by her son, Peter Davenport; survived by sons: Barry, Steve and Mike Davenport; grandsons, Dylan and Aaron and two great granddaughters.
Sammy also leaves her long time devoted friend and companion, Dave Wilbur; her sister, Pats in St. John’s and her sons, Gordon, Butch and Samson.
Sammy enjoyed having a good time square dancing and camping with her friends, and travelled around the continent, including driving three times across Canada, home to Newfoundland.
The family especially wishes to acknowledge and thank the wonderful staff at Nanaimo Travellers Lodge that took such loving care of Sammy.
