Roy passed away, surrounded by love, in Nanaimo Seniors Village at the age of 91. Survived by Norma, his loving and devoted wife of 66 years; three daughters: Bev Peterson (Ken), Sandy Herold (Mike), Darla Gardiner (Jim); nine grandchildren and eleven great grand-children. Roy served in the R.C.M.P. for 35 years at various posts from east to west coast, returning to Victoria in 1975. He will be remembered for his quick wit and humor and never ending love for his family. A special thanks to the staff at Nanaimo Seniors Village for their exemplary care and compassion. At Roy’s request, there will be no service.
