1953-2015
It is with great sadness we announce Ron’s passing on January 18, 2015 after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 30 years, Brenda, son Jonathan Hanna, grandson Gage, sister Margaret, brothers Harvey (Diane), Charles, brother in law Arnold (Gay), sister in law Lois and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ron was predeceased by his mother Susan, grandfather Herbert, his loving grandmother Katherina, brother Herbert and brother in law Jack Amstutz.
Ron started working in a mill at age 18 for George W. Dorman, then transferred to Western Forest Products in 1980. He retired due to health issues on October 1, 2014. Ron was proud to be accident free for 34 years. He will be missed by all his co-workers and friends who loved him dearly.
Ron’s interests were travel, sports and spending time at home with his dog, Abigail.
Special thanks to Dr. H. Mark and the doctors and nurses at Palliative Care for their compassion and care of Ron.
Private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation of Canada is appreciated.
