In loving memory ~
Robert (Bob) Powers passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023, with his beloved wife Bev by his side. He is survived by his sons Shaun (Marta) and Grant (Lydia), granddaughter Quinn, siblings Dennis (Gail) and Pat, and a large extended family.
Bob attended UBC and had a long illustrious career as a mining engineer that took him around the globe, including an extended stay in Portugal. Bob was a dedicated husband to Bev over their 46 years of marriage. He was an avid outdoor adventurer and passed along his love for the outdoors to his sons.
Bob had a large social circle and took priority in maintaining new and old friendships.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 5th, at the Nanaimo Curling Club, 106 Wall St., Nanaimo, B.C., from 1 to 4 p.m. for all those who wish to come and share memories.
