It is with great sadness that we announce Richard's (Dick's) passing on Friday, June 8th, 2018 in Nanaimo, BC, aged 82 years.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Jackie in 2004, and his parents Cecil and Adeline Armitage, as well as sister Myrtle Fabi and brothers Wilf and Bill Armitage.
He will be deeply missed by his daughters Beverly (Jim) Currie; Barbara (Ron) Wunderlick; Angela (Albert) Wunderlick and son Ike (Jennifer) Armitage. His loving grandchildren; Matthew and Brandon Currie; Abbi Morrice, Amanda, Adam, and Aimee Wunderlick, Jeremy, Jackie, Jessie, and Josie Wunderlick, and Colton and Ashley Armitage as well as many great grandchildren.
He is survived by brother Gary Armitage, and sister Colleen Severeid, as well as many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He always loved his visitors for coffee, right up until the end. Memories of Richard will be cherished by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 29th, 2018 at Telford's Cremation and Burial Centre; 595 Townsite Rd, at 1:00 PM.
Following through to burial at Nanaimo cemetery; 1598 Townsite Rd, at 3 PM. Celebration of Life gathering to follow at Branch 256 Legion, at 1630 East Wellington Rd; from 4 to 6 PM.
