Philip Denis Matte passed away peacefully with family present. Philip was born in Vancouver, BC.
Pre-deceased by son Richard and daughter-in-law Jacqueline. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Muriel; daughters Gail Hall and Debra Postey (Ron); 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He also leaves a brother Raymond and sister Lavonne. Sisters-in-law Jean (Lou) and Peggy (Gordon).
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday June 28, 2018 at 1 PM at St. Peters Catholic Church, 301 Macleary Street. Refreshments will follow the interment at the Nanaimo Chinese Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Philips memory to the Kidney or Heart and Stroke Foundations.
