Morgan, Pauline Daphne
November 4, 1924 - May 24, 2011
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Pauline on May 24, 2011. She was predeceased by her parents William and Harriott. Pauline will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years George, children Keith (Cathy), Glyn (Michelle), grandchildren Scott, Mark, Neal, Mathiew, Ian, Kaitlyn, Katelyn, Tyler, Nicholas, several great grandchildren, and her sisters Beryl, and Cinders.
Pauline was a member of the Womens Land Army in the UK during WWII. She was a long serving administrative officer of the Lakeshore School Board in Montreal, QC. Along with her husband George, she had a passion for dance. Having been round dance enthusiasts and instructors in Quebec, this continued upon their retirement and subsequent move to Nanaimo. Pauline and George started the Island Gems and enjoyed dancing and instructing until their second “retirement” in 2008.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 30, 2011 at 10:00 am at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Pauline to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
