née Hayward

Born December 14th, 1942 in Timmons, Ontario. Passed away March 21st, 2016 in Nanaimo BC after a courageous battle with cancer.

Predeceased by husband George (Jan 1997), infant son Ian (Jan 1980) and her sister Barbara Chandler of Medicine Hat (Jan 2012).

Survived by beloved son David and his partner Kim of Ottawa, niece Barbara Chandler, nephews Steven and Martin (Kan) Chandler all from Alberta, B-I-L Richard Kitchen, his wife Carol Ann and daughter Alissa of Montréal.

Pamela will be dearly missed by many friends and extended family.

Pamela was a graduate of the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in London Ontario, and spent her nursing career as a Pediatric nurse in Montreal and Ottawa. She and her family retired to Nanaimo in 1993 where Pamela was able to exploit her lifelong hobby of gardening. She belonged to the Horticultural Society and the Rose Society. Pamela truly had a green thumb as evidenced by her gardens surrounding her home. Pamela’s other hobbies involved horseback riding her Arabian horse Sahara and walking her beloved dog Lily every evening with friend Pat Carr and pets.

Her church family from St Philips By The Sea in Lantzville will be assisting with her celebration of life there on April 10th at 2pm.
