Norma Kathleen Brownlee (nee Dixon)

September 11, 1934 - May 19, 2019
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Norma Kathleen Brownlee (nee Dixon). She leaves to mourn her husband Jim with whom she would have celebrated 43 years of marriage, on May 28th, this year.
Also left; daughters Rhonda (Wayne), Donna (Lee), son Gerry and stepdaughter Lori (Jody). She had 10 grandchildren: Jordan, Brad, Lisa, Laura, Lindsey, Jason, Tyler, Alisha, Colby and Riley and affectionately known to them as G.G., she also leaves 8 great grandchildren: Brandon, Emma, Sabrina, Riley, Morley, Braiden, Brooklynn and Noah.
Mom was pre-deceased by our dad Ernie in 1971, and was the last of her siblings to leave us.
Mom was an excellent cook and also loved to bake. She would bring the desserts to all of our family dinners and pool parties. She also loved her home, of which she proudly kept. Norma enjoyed her many trips south of the border with Jim, to the Phoenix area in their trailer. Hawaii, Alaska, eastern Canada as well as many destinations in BC were also visited.
Our Celebration of Life for mom will be held on June 21st @ 11 am @ Sands Funeral Chapel, One Newcastle Ave. Nanaimo, BC.
