We are devastated to announce the sudden passing of Niall John Bronte Wallace on September 27, 2015.

Niall was born at Nanaimo Regional Gener- al Hospital on January 20, 1973. A true Nanaimo boy, he attended Rutherford Elementary, then graduated from Wellington Secondary in 1991. He spent ten years working in London after graduation.

Niall returned to Nanaimo and attended the Heavy Equipment Operator course at V.I.U. His strong work ethic and skills allowed him the opportunity to work on many jobs throughout the province.

As a youth, he played soccer and lacrosse, skied and snowboarded. But his great passions were bath tubbing, camping and fishing. His biggest smiles were when cruising across the finish line in his bathtub and when holding up a huge catch from the waters off of Tofino. He loved Hallowe’en and Christmas, and his playful spirit was infectious – as evidenced by his huge number of friends.

He is survived by his mother and father, Don and Dorothy, his brother Kevin (Dina), nieces Tessa and Scarlett (who will miss their beloved Uncle Kitty Litter immensely), Aunts Paddy, Roberta and Sally, Uncle Cliff, cousins Theone (Alistair), Patrick, James (Nikki), Jason (Julie), Hayley (Mark), Evan (Clancie), Sharon, Jane, and family friends around the world. We will miss him so much.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Niall’s name may be made to either of the following:

• Pacific Salmon Foundation (online at psf.ca)

• Loyal Nanaimo Bathtub Society, 373 Franklin St., Nanaimo, V9R 2X5. Please send a cheque. Proceeds to sponsor a trophy in Niall’s name.

A Celebration in remembrance of Niall is planned for Saturday October 10, 2015 at the Nanaimo Yacht Club from 2:00 to 4:00 PM
