June 19, 1932 ~ November 25, 2014
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Lessard: loving wife, mother, grandmother, great granny, sister, and aunt. Mary passed away peacefully in her sleep at Nanaimo Regional Hospital.
After growing up in Cumberland, Mary followed a career of teaching young children, mostly in Port Alberni. Mary retired to Nanaimo to follow her passions of: gardening, travel, gardening, bridge, gardening, the ocean view, more gardening, and most importantly, her family.
Mary is missed deeply by Wilf, her husband of 61 years; brother Barney Nunns; sister Dorothy Noble; daughter Debby Thomson (John); son Andy Lessard (Arlene); grandchildren Ray, Laurie, Kimberly and David; and six great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held in Nanaimo on December 6.
Flowers are graciously declined. Memorial donations may be made to the Nanaimo Hospital Foundation.
