Born 1927 in Edinburgh. Said her three best decisions in life were to graduate from the University of Edinburgh Medical Faculty in 1951, to emigrate to Canada in 1958, and to move to Nanaimo in 1997. Died November 15th, 2015, predeceased by her brother Eric Barr, and survived by her brother Douglas and their families, all in the U.K.
Margaret wished to express her profound thanks to the Berry family for their friendship since 1964, and her gratitude to Anne for selfless help and unwavering care over many years of ill health. She also wished to thank her many friends and neighbours for assisting her in so many ways. Special thanks to Judy Dieno, Ann and Jim Harris, Jim Trebett, Les and Lyn Aldcroft, Dean Philpott and son, Reed, Dr. Dubravka Uchman and Dr. Andrew Baird.
