Margaret Audrey Johnson of Chemainus passed away suddenly and gently at age 77 on Thursday, August 16th, 2012.
Audrey was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England on October 13th, 1934, only child to Arthur and Lillian Ellis.
Audrey is survived by her three children and their spouses Caroline Klaver, Sharon & Bill Earthy, Graham & Nicole Johnson, seven fantastic grandchildren Giles, Derek, Malcolm, and Olivia Klaver, Walker Earthy, Hannah and Logan Johnson and Dr. J. Edward Johnson.
Audrey always walked a spiritual path with interests in Catholic, Buddhist and Benedictine values and beliefs about humanity, healing and peace. She will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren and many people from all walks of life who fondly remember her compassion and kind spirit.
There will be a Celebration of Life held Friday August 31st for 2pm to 4pm at Bethlehem Retreat Center, 2371 Arbot Road, Nanaimo BC. If you knew Audrey and/or her family please feel welcome to join us. In lieu of flowers, any donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
